You have on your screen the very first Amk-lehti / UAS Journal. This journal continues the history of the journals Kever-lehti, Osaaja-lehti and Kever-Osaaja-lehti. The layout of the new journal is new but the content categories are the same as earlier. So the target of the journal is the same: to give information about the R&D work done at UASs to workplace organisations and higher education institutions.
In the editorial, counsellor of education Erja Heikkinen emphasizes the importance of widely communicating the whole scale of regional, national and international R&D and innovation work done by Finnish UASs. It is important to make the role of R&D and innovation in Finnish UASs visible.
In this issue you can read about ongoing projects in 7 UASs. They tell about the phenomena of teaching, learning, studying, researching and developing both theoretical and practical horizons. Cooperation with UASs and workplace organisations is multi-dimensional and always unique depending on the topic. This is why it is important to gather and analyse the experiences together in this journal. We can continue the discussion in the UAS Journal Facebook, which is presented in order to give information about the R&D work of UASs to workplace organisations and higher education institutions.

- International R&D and Innovations in UAS, published in week 24 (articles’ deadline: week 21)
- Regional Development and UAS, published in week 40 (deadline: week 37)
- Entrepreneurship and UAS, published in week 50 (deadline: week 47)
