AMK-lehti / UAS Journal issue 1/2024 is themed with current topics and the role of universities of applied sciences in forward-looking business cooperation as well as in research and development activities.
How do universities of applied sciences develop their activities and services to promote business and working life cooperation? How can research and development work support service and cooperation structures as well as teaching/learning? How do you anticipate new forms of collaboration and content?
We are also looking for concrete examples of cooperation projects between universities of applied sciences and working life, as well as sustainable results of RDI work. We hope that the texts show how universities of applied sciences react to current social situations (e.g., sustainable development, digitalisation, political uncertainty).
Articles from both universities of applied sciences and beyond are desired for the theme issue. We encourage co-writing in multi-voiced groups. In addition to articles, the texts offered may also include more informal reviews, speeches, interviews, expert texts commenting on current topics, and examples of cooperation between universities of applied sciences with partners. You may also submit audiovisual content.
The maximum length of an article is 10,000, the review 4,000 and other categories about 3,000 characters (spaces included). Instructions for writers can be found at Instructions for authors – UAS Journal. Please read them carefully before submitting your text.
We encourage author formations that also involve the representation of working life and/or students.
AMK magazine / UAS Journal regularly receives more article offers than can be published. Usually, about half will be published with the number of articles between 12 and 15 per issue. This is why, in the first step, we ask the authors for an abstract (max. 200 words). After that, we ask the full text as well as the photo from selected abstracts. The editors comment on the manuscript and the authors are given about one week to make corrections. A more detailed schedule is below.
